Super Spicy (Bali Style) Kale Chips
Raw, Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Nut-Free
Adapted from Spicy and Cheesy Kale Chips
Ingredients:
- 2 bunches of kale, washed, dried, stems removed and cut/torn into medium sized pieces
- 1 cup raw cashews, soaked for 1-2 hours
- 3 Tbsp lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1 red bell pepper chopped
- 4 Thai Chili Peppers (the super hot kind you find at specialty Asian Markets like Lion Supermarket)
- 1/2 tsp of pink Himalayan sea salt (available at Trader Joe's & Health Stores)
- 1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper
Preparation:
- Add all ingredients expect the kale to a high powered blender or food processor. Process until you get a smooth consistency
- Massage sauce onto kale with hands
- Dehydrate (at 115°) until crispy (8-12 hours)* (I line the dehydrator w/wax paper for an easier clean up job!)
- Enjoy with a tall glass of water!
